Privacy & beta information

Monastery is a small, experimental Mathematics A practice beta operated by TomiMCH. No email is required; your learning history is kept in a private learner database. Use a username that does not identify you — registered usernames, study points and rank appear on the leaderboard. Source exercises may still contain errors; please report them.

Your data & cookies

The operator stores your chosen weeks, exercise selections, saved working drafts, study sessions, submitted working, first MCQ responses and retries, ratings, progress and reports in a private local database with backups. Accounts store a username and salted password hash. No email is required.

Cookies keep guest continuity and account sessions; logging out does not delete saved work.

Optional Google sign-in stores a provider subject identifier linked to your account. Google profile names, email addresses and provider access tokens are not stored. Linking an existing account is explicit; accounts are not merged by email.

Open solutions are self-rated; Monastery does not use AI to grade handwritten mathematics.

External services

MathJax loads from jsDelivr, which receives ordinary connection information such as your network address. Public HTTPS access may pass through Cloudflare Tunnel. No third-party analytics are added by the app.

Ask AI copies a question-specific tutor prompt only when you choose a provider. Working and a displayed solution are included only if you select their checkboxes. You paste the prompt into the external service under its own privacy terms. Monastery does not collect AI passwords, cookies or API tokens.

Reports

Reports include your message, learner reference, page/question, app version, browser type and optional viewport size. Authentication and report rate limits use hashed network-address buckets. Do not put personal details, passwords or other secrets in your working or reports.

Deletion & backups

Registered users can download their study history or delete their active account and history from Profile. Guests can contact the operator using the same browser. Retained backups may contain older records until their retention expires. Local snapshots retain 24 hourly, 14 daily and 8 weekly recovery points; off-device replication depends on the operator's configured destination.

Account recovery

There is no email-based password recovery.

Source material

This beta includes course/book and examination material. Source rights and permission to redistribute remain unresolved. Public preview access is owner-authorized; a wider launch requires permission. The operator must resolve the appropriate permission before wider sharing.
